I know what you’re thinking! How is it almost Christmas already? 2017 has absolutely flown by in the blink of an eye and I hope it’s been good to you all!
If you don’t think Christmas fashion is the best of the whole year then I’m sorry, we can’t be friends. Now that Halloween is over it is totally acceptable to talk about the C word! With me, it’s like a switch flips on November 1st and all I want to wear is velvet, sequins and sparkle all day long! So with silly season just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about what to wear to all those festive soirees you’ve lined up (get you, girl about town!). I’ve rounded the top trends for holiday dressing and I’ve scoured the internet to find the best Christmas fashion has to offer.
Shine Bright Like A Diamond
I’ve never been one to shy away from sparkle and shimmer and this year is bolder and brighter than ever before! The festive season is the best excuse you’ll ever get so go high octane with your sparkle. And remember, sequins don’t have to be just for Christmas! Layer up your sparkly skirts and dresses with a chunky knit and ankle boots post-festivities to keep the party going right into the new year.
Crushin’ on Velvet
Velvet and Christmas go together like mulled wine and mince pies! It’s the ultimate in opulence for festive dressing. A little more wearable than sequin and sparkle, velvet comes in to its own season after season. Go head to toe in a chic suit or simply add subtle hints of luxurious velvet; either way just try to stop yourself from touching the most strokeable fabric of the season.
Written in the Stars
Forget winter florals, star and galaxy prints are the prints of the season with every high street store producing their own take on it. Rock up to your Christmas ‘do in a constellation print dress and sock boots and instantly see your sartorial street cred sky rocket.
Jump to it!
Jumpsuits are a cool alternative to the classic LBD or the seasons sequins and sparkle. The jumpsuit is an effortless route to chic, creates a look of understated glamour and can be worn year round, not just for Christmas.
The best of the rest: Dresses
My favourite time of the year & I cannot wait for Christmas Day! I love the whole run up to it. Definitely my favourite season for style. Loving each piece you have featured especially the gorgeous midi sequin skirt, perfect for a night out or dressed down for day. Fab blog Trish 🎄🎅🏼🎁😘
