Style Staples: The Slogan Tee

The Slogan tee is one of this seasons boldest trends; the more attention grabbing and provocative the statement, the better. Developing for a few seasons, wordy tees cropped up everywhere on runways from New York to Paris with many designers using slogans to make strong political statements; think Maria Grazia Chiuri’s “We Should All Be Feminists” tees at Dior and Prabal Gurung’s “The Future is Female”. A quick scroll through your instagram feed and it’s obvious that slogan tees are also a style staple with our favourite bloggers and street style stars too.

Love this bargain from Bershka with my Levis bandana

Fashion has always been a form of self expression so whether it is just the name of your favourite rock band or a political message, this season is all about wearing your thoughts on your chest. My off duty, go-to look mainly consists of jeans and t-shirts so I am loving this update on the classic tee.

Brands, designers and high-street stores are all jumping on the slogan bandwagon meaning your options are endless. So if you have something to get off your chest, this is the trend for you. Pair your slogan tee with jeans, pleated skirts, blazers or cool-girl two pieces. Throw a statement earring into the mix for ultimate style points!
